TO OBSERVE DOESN’T MEANS TO FEEL

This is an installation that involves art and nature. In this work, in collaboration with experts, there are electronics apparatus that point out the electro-magnetic pollution of surrounding in the zone of installation that evidences via bright signs the overcoming of limits imposed by legislation and regulated by arrangements in merit to magnetic pollution. On the work (a square of 120 centimetres) there are 120 perforation ears that allow through intermittent light, to point out the level of pollution and to informe people of the state of pollution. With her restless sensibility, Cristina Cherchi picks the fragmentary of modern world under form of signs, particulars, repeated images, as a mantra. The artist tries to understand reality and to worm the mechanism, the dark sense of a world that escapes. Her use of photography becomes the way where the existent comes decomposed, tested across the ancestral needs. The anguished images persecute us with disturbing suggestions. The empty sockets bring us into dark sides of way to be, because primitives and irrationals. These symbols become totem, idol, prayer, entreaty to understand. This search remains further of material appearances. This unreachable destination, every human experience lays to do art. Inside human experience there is a deep validity.

OSSERVARE NON VUOL DIRE SENTIRE

Osservare non vuole sentire è un’ installazione che rientra in quei progetti che coinvolgono arte e la natura. In quest’opera progettata in collaborazione con esperti nel campo  sono installate apparecchiature elettroniche in grado di rilevare il livello di inquinamento elettromagnetico ambientale presente  nella zona di installazione, evidenziando tramite   segnali luminosi immediatamente percepibili dai cittadini di passaggio nella zona interessata il superamento  dei limiti imposti dalla legislazione e regolati  da apposite disposizioni specifiche  in merito ad inquinamento magnetico.  Sull’opera composta da un quadrato di lato pari a 120 cm sono posizionate 120 orecchie forate  in modo che permettano tramite una luce a carattere intermittente, di  evidenziare in maniera discriminante e quantitativa il livello di inquinamento presente captato dagli apparati elettronici intelligenti ed informando la popolazione dello stato di inquinamento  ambientale presente.
